Rachael Osborn-Howard

Rachael is an auctioneer and international specialist in Decorative Art, European sculpture, works of art and clocks with twenty years of experience in the industry. She set up Curated Auctions in the summer of 2021, to meet the growing demand for bespoke auction services, specialising in fine antiques and offering a premier personal service.

Rachael studied Art History at UCL, before joining a small general auction house based in Kent. She joined Bonhams Auctioneers in New Bond St, London in 2005, working first in the Clock Department and then in the European Works of Art and Sculpture department, and was also very much involved with the Private Collections and House Sales team. As Head of Department for European Works of Art, she was responsible for valuing works of art for the Bonhams offices right across the globe, and travelled extensively; assisting with important collections in both the US and Europe, such as the Rau Collection sold on behalf of UNICEF in 2013. In 2016 Rachael left Bonhams to establish a new specialist sale at Chiswick Auctions, London, where her greatest success was the record-breaking sale of a wax head by Medardo Rosso for £225,000.
